Learning

This is an opportunity to learn and polish my blogging skills.

I use the Internet practically all the time. The computer goes on in the morning, and off in the evening. Email has made it possible to stay in touch with people all over, and I read news in more than English, every day of the week. I also use the several sites that offer streaming video.

Creative Commons was an incredible idea to protect intellectual property and at the same time share knowledge and art. I love to find anything from the whole research on malaria provided by the GlaxoSmithKline company to share data on a disease that is still affecting millions of people.

Blogging

First I had to come up with a name for this blog that no one was using yet. Apparently nobody has thought to blog about or from the Andes, so that is the name I could use.

Blogging can be a lot of fun, if one has something to say, and there is an audience. I used one to communicate my thoughts and memories with former school classmates from long ago.  It was nice just to sit and recall stuff that I had put out of my mind, or gone into storage for many years.

I have thought about writing about my own family, and I may do it sometime, for the used of my children. And include pictures nobody else has.
